I did notice something weird with the display and I'm not sure if it's intentional or a glitch. If I start the car with the radio off, the display is off and not backlit. WebIt is possible that the vehicle battery can be low, but most of the time you would notice a slight difference in the way that the engine cranks. Most of the time if it simply turned off it is because the hardware in the module failed. This is a common issue on this vehicle.

The screen was completely black and would not restart - it was around 5 degrees C outside and hadn't been driven for over two hours - so not overheated. HOWEVER, it still only projects the smaller image and it's off centered to the right side of the new monitor.
